Deze inleidende cursus behandelt de basisprincipes van orthodontie in detail om het integreren van orthodontische principes in de dagelijkse klinische praktijk te vergemakkelijken. De nadruk ligt op het klinisch onderzoek en het verzamelen van diagnostische gegevens. Deelnemers maken kennis met de biomechanica van tandbewegingen en leren hoe orthodontische problemen bij groeiende en volwassen patiënten beoordeeld en gediagnosticeerd kunnen worden, samen met mogelijke behandelopties.
Tijdens deze cursus leren deelnemers over:
- Introductie tot de discipline orthodontie en algemene kaders
- Concepten van groei en ontwikkeling (schedelbasis, bovenkaak, onderkaak en gebit)
- Onderzoek en diagnose van de orthodontische patiënt: Malocclusies en tandheelkundige afwijkingen
- Principes van succesvolle behandelplanning
De cursus biedt theorie en analyse van klinische casussen.

Het Essentials-programma introduceert artsen in aligner-orthodontie en biedt de fundamentele praktische vaardigheden en kennis die nodig zijn om de Ordoline alignertherapie succesvol te implementeren in de dagelijkse klinische praktijk. Tijdens de cursus maken deelnemers kennis met het Ordoline-behandelingssysteem, bestuderen zij diverse klinische casussen en worden zij uitgerust met de kennis die nodig is om succesvol te starten met alignertherapie.
Tijdens deze cursus leert u:
- Voordelen en nadelen van alignertherapie, behandelmogelijkheden en indicaties
- Belangrijke factoren die bepalend zijn voor het succes van een alignerbehandeling
- Klinische en digitale workflows met Ordoline
- Hoe een juiste klinische diagnose te stellen, behandeldoelen vast te stellen en behandelplannen te beoordelen
- Filosofie en correcte toepassing van orthodontische hulpmiddelen: attachments, elastieken, IPR
- Het proces van tussentijdse controles, verfijningen en retentie
De cursus biedt theorie en analyse van klinische casussen.
Deze cursus wordt in het Engels gegeven.

Dr. Robertas Kirlys
Dr. Robertas Kirlys is a dentist - orthopedist - orthodontist. He completed his studies at the Institute of Dentistry of Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine (2006) and dentistry studies at Ernst Moritz Arndt University in Greifswald (Germany) (2004). In 2006 he completed an internship at Vilnius University Žalgiris Hospital. 2008 - 2012 orthodontic residency - Vilnius University Žalgiris Clinic. 2014 - 2016 completed the orthopedics residency study program at Vilnius University Žalgiris Clinic. From 2018 works at the clinic of the Vilnius Implantology Center. Is the manager of the Ordoline Academy mentoring program. Constantly lecturing and conducting practical training for general practitioners and orthodontists about treatment with aligners and the specifics of this work. Dr. Robertas Kirlys constantly deepens his knowledge in various conferences and training. Dr. Robert Kirlys is one of the most experienced specialists in treating patients with straightening aligners.
Prof. Rosaria Bucci
Prof. Rosaria Bucci is a renowned international lecturer and trained dentist. She graduated in Dentistry at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She got a Ph.D. and she is Specialized in Orthodontics. Also, she received a Master Degree in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders. She is a University Research Fellow, Orthodontic Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor for undergraduates teaching of Orthodontics in dentistry courses. She has fulfilled the requirements for provisional membership of the European and Italian Board of Orthodontics. She is active member of EOS (European Orthodontic Society), SIDO (Italian Society of Orthodontics), IADR (International Association for Dental Research), EAOPD (European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction).
